How to Use Directors Source

Registering for Directors Source

In order to post a directorship and view resumes on Directors Source, you must first register.

First Posting is FREE


Your first posting on Directors Source is free. Once you have completed registering on the site, your first free posting is automatically credited to your account. Postings have no expiry date. Companies interested in purchasing large packages of postings should contact Audrey Gasnier(audrey.gasnier@cica.ca) to discuss bulk rate options.

Postings remain live for 6 weeks and 7 weeks access to the resume database is included with each posting. Your search of the resume database will be limited to resumes matching your posting.

Company Rates


After your initial free posting, the price for 1 Posting is $350, 5 postings cost $1,400 (Save $350) and 10 postings cost $2,500 (Save $1,000).

Not-for-profit Rates


Directors Source is a free service for not-for-profits. Not-for-profit organizations should send an email to directorssource@cica.ca indicating their not-for-profit status to ensure they are not charged for postings.

Paying for a Posting

Payment may be made online using a credit card (MasterCard or Visa). You can also select the Bill Me option to have an invoice sent to you. If you select the “Bill Me” option, there may be a delay of up to three business days to approve your purchase.

Posting a Directorship


Click on “Post Directorship” and enter your posting into the six screens. Click Submit once you are finished. If you have not already purchased postings for your account, you will be prompted to purchase your posting.

Editing a Posting


To edit a posting, click View Resumes (log on, if you are not already logged on), and then click the edit button next to your posting. You may edit all fields in the posting except for Location. Editing your posting will affect the results that you get when you view resumes that match your posting.

Viewing Applicants to your Posting


To view the resumes of applicants to your posting, click on View Resumes (log on, if you are not already logged on), and then click the button “View Applicants”. Click the applicant’s name to view the resume.

Searching the Resume Database - View Resumes that Match your Posting


To view resumes that match your posting, click on View Resumes (log on, if you are not already logged on) and then click the button “View Matches”. Click the applicant’s name or the words “confidential candidate” to view that applicant’s resume.

Companies can search the resume database for resumes that match their posting for seven weeks from the date of posting. There is no additional fee for this service.

Managing your Account Information

The account information section allows you to purchase postings for your account, update your company’s information and update or add individuals from your company that can use your Directors Source account.
